Packing. and then more packing.

First post! Day 0 of my trip, as I technically only leave super early tomorrow morning.

Ran some errands this morning, and now have to finish packing soonish, so I have time to make another shopping trip to fill in the things I've forgotten before leaving. In packing for a trip this long and covering a range of climates (6 weeks, 5 countries, 8+ cities), I'm told that the key is layering. And colour blocking, which I like to do anyways. A lot of purple on this trip. I think I'm doing pretty good in terms of the different climate zones I cross - the trick now will be to integrate clothing suitable for the range of activities I'll be doing - from camping, to hiking, to the formal dinner at the conference.

On this trip I'm hiting Australia and New Zealand, then Hong Kong and Beijing, Japan, and the Philippines to visit family. I'll post in greater detail later, likely from one of my many airport stops. Feel free to message me or comment if you have any questions - particularly if I'm supposed to be meeting you somewhere. I don't know what my internet access will be like, but I do plan on buying sim cards while abroad so should be reachable by cell for most of the trip.
