Out in the common area of the hostel - It's a really nice space, though as its not even 11 on a Saturday night, Im the only one in pajamas out here. Melly and Hope are in bed already. Finished packing, but thought I'd take advantage of the internet that's already been paid for (bought a 24hr card this morning) and catch up on all the internet stuff I've been missing out on. So I'm sitting out here, drinking some of the diet coke I bought and eating some tim tams (I think the chewy caramel is my favourite - reminds me of twix) and thought that as I'm backing up all of my Sydney pics on my laptop I could post one or two.
Then I realized just how many pictures I've been taking. Sorting through all of these when I get home is going to be a pain. Also, I kinda want to keep some of my favorites private, possibly until the end of my trip. And more importantly, as I sit here trying to choose them it gets later and later, and I realy should probably get to bed. So here are two pictures that I mentioned in my last post.
Clownfish hiding in the anemones. At Sydney Aquarium. Really hoping that we get to see some when we go snorkelling in Cairns in a few weeks time. Otherwise, this totally qualifies as a Nemo encounter. And the Aquarium also had sea turtles! Though the platypus and penguins seemed to be asleep/hiding when we visited.
And this is quite possibly the best of my super-blurry-night-time-while-on-a-rocking-boat pictures of the opera house and bridge from our return from Manly on the ferry. I still like it though, and the blur is less obvious small. I think I might print this one out, and pass off the blur as artsy-ness.
